I am an MC at INKFISH and I am working in the JHB region- my main focus is Alliance Earth and the Dung Beatle Project at the moment.

I work from my home office in the heart of Fourways, Johannesburg. I have the serenity of the bush all around me and my colleagues are Guinea Fowl who moved in next door to my house.

I have been in publishing for the entirety of my professional career so figuring out what someone needs and making a plan to get it to them has always been a part of my job.

I am fantastic at writing for other people but I suck at writing about myself. Although I make a living off my words, I get tongue-tied at least 10 times a day.

What’s the furthest you have been away from your place of birth? Describe how it was?
Sevilla, Spain- it’s around 11000 kms from where I was born. It as incredible and overwhelming. My senses were intoxicated by the smells, (oranges, flowers, spices, food, wine, horses, bulls) the sights (cathedrals, mosaics, paintings, flamenco dancers) and the people.

What is your best hidden talent?
I am a fantastic longbow archer. Haven’t had any training, but I just picked up a bow one day at a team building and I outscored a professional bowman multiple times. It’s a pretty useless party trick, unless the Zombie apocalypse ever happens!

Madonna or Lady Gaga? Neither? Both? Who cares?
Neither. Don’t care. Give me some Johnny Cash, Mumford and Sons or Paul Simon and I am happy. My all time favourite artist is South African Rock legend Jo Day.

What’s the most delicious food you’ve ever eaten in your life?
Seafood stew on a paddleboat, floating between the islands in the Phang Nga bay in Thailand. We were celebrating Loi Krathong and our hosts made the stew right there on the main ferry.

Which continents have you been on? Where?
Africa (so many), Asia (Thailand) North America (The Caribbean) Europe (Spain). I have been fortunate enough to travel through South Africa extensively, but I am itching for the rest of the world!

If you had to have a cow or a pig, which would you take? Why?
I would take a pig, no contest! They are incredibly intelligent animals, they are sweet and loving and I have always wanted a tea cup pig to round off our family.
