Hi, my name is Melba, a working mom from the Philippines. I have been with INKFISH for 5 years and counting.

I am always up for new challenges and my new position as AA manager is a real challenge. Suzan also named me as “fire brigade”. I support AAs to sort their accounts and help them back in track.

I love working with INKFISH, There are always new things to be learned. And it’s true, change is the only constant thing with INKFISH. I am happy that I am able to grow every day.

If you could get a tattoo on your back, what would it be?
It will be the names of my family members: Mine, hubby and my 2 kids written in Alibata an ancient Filipino writing. And it will be done by the oldest and last Filipina mambabatok (traditional Kalinga tattooist) from the mountain of Northern Luzon.

What is your best idea to date?
I’ve always wanted a candle light dinner by the beach, serve with simple food and wine with matching acoustic background music. Then after dinner, walk by the shore bare-footed while holding hands.

City or nature person? Why?
I was born and raised in the city but my heart belongs to nature. Whenever I’m fed up with the noise and stress of city life, I go for a long trip to the country side. I love the beach, the sand, the trees, the sun and all the freebies nature has to offer. It’s peaceful and rejuvenating to be one with nature.

Pirates or ninjas? Or something else? Why?
I’ll go with ninjas. Though these mysterious ninjas had some negative reputations in the past as being spies, espionages and assassins, I still admire the discipline and dedication they put in their training to be the best.

Do you like horror movies? How about thrillers?
Neither, I will only be screaming, hiding under the pillow all throughout the movie. I will not enjoy it. And the worst part, it hunts me for days… scaryyy!

Madonna or Lady Gaga? Neither? Both? Who cares?
Growing up I enjoyed listening to Madonna’s music. I don’t care if she’s controversial, bold and all, what’s important is the music she made and will be making. I’m a fan.

If you had to move to another country, where would you move? Why?
I would love to try Cape Town. Ever since I met Suzan, I became curios about South Africa, Cape Town in particular. She had stories on how South African way of living had similarities on Filipinos way of life. I would also love to see the beauty of its nature and experience the things it has to offer.
