Since his studies at Cape Technikon School of Graphic Design in the mid nineties Neil has worked for a number of studios, acquiring extensive skills across all aspects of the industry before launching Inkfish Design Studio in 2004. Neil created his first website in 1998 and is passionate about brand alignment across all media.
A dad to two young kids and a beach lover at heart means that, when not at his desk, you'll find him at one of the many beaches around the peninsula or out paddling his surf ski.

What makes you happy?
Hearing my kids laugh, spending time as a family and paddling on the ocean.

What is your favorite music?
I like all sorts, but definitely have a soft spot for the Pixies - after all these years.

What is your best hidden talent?
I used to perform with a group called The Frying Circus. I juggled flaming devil sticks.

What makes you embarrassed?
I used to perform with a group putting on fire shows. just kidding. Those were good times.

What is your favorite TV series?
Loved Californication, currently enjoying Dexter.

Suzan McCreadie Suzan has recently returned to base after some interesting journeys where she was exposed to marketing, PR and social media. Bringing with her a passion for design, love for processes, networking and green thinking. Born and educated in The Netherlands, Suzan has lived in and around Cape Town for the past 15 years. She is an out-of-the-box thinker, loves coming up with unique and creative solutions for specific clients' needs, not only in design but also in both traditional and online marketing. In her free time you might find her pottering in the garden, collecting shells with the family or dreaming about travelling.

What is your best hidden talent?
I have an intuition which is close to being clairvoyant. It freaks out my kids and team - I just stumble upon the little secrets they have by accident! It helps taking a brief from a client when they are not comfortable with visual language, but actually know very well what they like and what they don't.

What is your best idea to date?
I have so many ideas the just keep tumbling into my brain. It's tiresome but my best talent as well. I am currently working on an online job management system for small businesses and a stock website. I think moving to South Africa was a pretty good idea, and buying my house in Bo-Kaap 12 years ago too!

What is the question that no one can answer?
My daughter is fabulous in asking impossible questions. I love being challenged by her and try to answer her as good as i can - I like explaining difficult concepts into plain English. The questions I find most difficult to answer are not scientific but usually relate to manners. I mean, why do we need to have our fork and knive in each specific hand and not the other way around? Why no elbows on the table? However I encourage her to keep questioning everything and never assume anything about our audience - whether that's our culture or target market -, specifically not "because everybody else does it"!

emmashot Emma studied journalism before realising that she was more passionate about laying out her work than writing it. She joined Inkfish as a new intern in 2010 after completing a design and dtp course. Now a fully fledged member of the Inkfish team, Emma is learning all there is to know about graphic and web design, including the administration of Joomla websites.

What is your all time favorite logo?
I can't say that I have an all time favourite logo because there are so many that are just amazing. But I do love logo's that have double meaning, or use negative space to create something clever that relates to the company/ product.

What is your favorite music?
I think the question is rather what music don't I like because that list would be far shorter! My friends always laugh at me because every time we listen to the radio I say: "oooooh I love this song." to 90% of what's being played. I pretty much like all kinds of music, as long as it sounds good in my ears, there's no specific genre I can say that I like more than another.

What is the question that no one can answer?
I have been going over this in my head for years and years, ever since my dad asked me this when I complained about being bored when I was about 5 years old - what came first? The chicken or the egg .... (I'm pretty sure it has something to do with evolution)

What is your all time favorite logo?
There are so many awesome logos out there, it's hard to say. I love a logo which cleverly plays with typography and negative space.

Again, there are so many, but www.thecoolhunter.net is very inspirational

What is your favorite music?
Rock, punk, ska, old school.

What makes you happy?
When the Stormers beat the Bulls! Being able to solve a web related problem also makes me happy and gives a sense of accomplishment.

www.memebase.com (A dose of humour every day is a good thing)

What is your best hidden talent?
I'm not too bad at playing the guitar (at least I'd like to think so)

What makes you happy?
Cupcakes. There is nothing like their pretty sweetness that can make your day joyful. Cupcakes are always optimistic and their lightheartedness can make any day a cheerful one.

What makes you embarrassed?
I get embarrassed when I perceive others as feeling embarrassed. Maybe I empathize with others too much or I read into things more than I should.

What is the question that no one can answer?
Where do falling stars land? and where is the end of the rainbow?
